1st Bonfire of the Spring + Anna in town!

Anna came into town to visit! She flew into Denver on Thursday, April 10th & left on Sunday, April 13th.

We had a blast…maybe you can tell by the photos :) What did we do?

+ We visited Kevin at work (Zephyr) & toured the place. Ryder is obsessed with hats so it’s a good fit.

+ We HAD to hit up QDoba. Anna doesn’t have the option to eat there daily, if she wanted, so we grabbed a quick lunch. She loves that place. It is pretty yummy!

+ I introduced Anna to The Mindy Project. One of my favorite TV shows right now.

+ We went downtown & ate at one of Kevin’s favorite burger joints, called Stuft Burger. He got the, in my opinion, nastiest doughnut burger ever haha. The buns were made of doughnuts! I say it is guys food. Then we walked around, hit up some shops, & stopped by to introduce Anna to Mary’s Mountain Cookies. Can NEVER go wrong there. Also, Anna had to grab some cookies for the fam in KC. They are THAT good.

+ We started our Saturday morning off in downtown again…at Silver Grill Café. They have the best cinnamon roll French toast. Kevin loves it & I think is loving it more than Snooze.

+ We let Ryder get some energy out at Spring Canyon Park – best park ever. We swung on some swings & let him run around, go down slides, and chased him all over. Honestly, I have fun playing at that park haha. I think I get younger there…

+ After one of Ryder’s naps, we took a walk around the neighborhood to a lake to kill some time before our dinner/bonfire night. We actually live close to some pretty walking trails & they are putting in more bike/walking trails soon! Need to get Ry a bike trailer!!! And me a helmet…

+ I made a huge crockpot southwest meal so we ate it at my parents, however, only my mom, Hunter, & Zach were in town. We ate dinner with them & then Kevin started the bonfire out in the back. I gave Anna a tour of their house. Ryder was in heaven with his uncles. And we had a legit bonfire. It was a little chilly & starting to get windy so it wasn’t the ideal temperature but it was still a lot of fun. We all took a lot of photos, as usual. Hunter & Anna had fun playing ping pong & we worked on getting a dent into my parents 2,000 NYC puzzle. I kind of love puzzles…

+ And then it snowed in mid April on Sunday, so had to document that.

Overall, it was a FUN weekend! We had a blast with Anna & can’t wait to see her soon in KC!

Come visit us ;)
