Here is another photo from our maternity session by Tiffany Rebecca.

I will post some more some other time :)
First and foremost, I am still pregnant.
Secondly, we have a plan.
I went to my 40 week appointment today and everything is still looking great. Baby had a heartbeat of 134 beats/minute. I haven't gained any weight. Blood pressure is always low and healthy. Normally at 41 weeks, they do a non-stress test and ultrasound to check and make sure the amniotic fluids are good and baby is still doing great. I'll be 41 weeks on Monday. We are going tomorrow to get the two tests done because Monday is Labor Day and the doctors' offices will be closed then. If he isn't doing so well, they will induce I'm assuming ASAP. If he is doing fine, I will be admitted to the hospital ON LABOR DAY, September 3rd, 2012 at 7:30 pm to get induced. I will be started on Cytotec at night (to soften the cervix/dilate/effacement etc.) and then sleep through the night (may be given a sleeping pill in addition to help). Then in the morning if contractions haven't started (which would be ideal if they did from the Cytotec) then I will be given Pitocin. If all goes well he will be born on September 4th with my obgyn delivering since she is on-call that day. Obviously, I could go into labor anytime, but I have thought for awhile that I would be induced a week after my due date, haha...and that is now the plan...
I just worry about induction since I know there are risks but the longest I could wait to be induced (if he doesn't come on his own) is another week. They won't let you go past 42 weeks but I am getting very uncomfortable and am in pain often and who wants to go 2 weeks past their due date!?!? He is more than ready to come (development wise) but is just too dang cozy in there! I hope all goes well and I don't have to get a c-section (more at risk when inducing fyi) but obviously I'm going to go with the flow and be flexible. I don't have a strict birth plan. In fact, my birth plan is 1. Get an epidural. 2. Deliver a healthy baby...so that is it... I think getting the Cytotec and sleeping through the night is a great idea because you would be more rested for the labor but I'm wondering how I will be able to sleep knowing I will meet my son the next day! Guess we will find out :)
I'm just glad I know what will happen if I don't have him this weekend and that gives me peace of mind!
I can't be pregnant forever!
Anyone have good induction experiences?!
If so, do tell!
