4 Amazing Years

Last Wednesday, August 8, 2012, Kevin and I celebrated our 4th anniversary!
I still can't believe we have been married for 4 years!
Wow, I remember being a newlywed (at BYU) and when I heard of other couples being married for that long, I thought, dang, that is so long!
Well, 4 years has come and gone.
I can't believe it.
We got married, went on a vacation to Hawaii, I danced for BYU on their International Folk Dance team, Kevin played 4 years of Division 1 BYU Baseball, we got Katinka when she was a few months old, Kevin lived in Albany, New York for a summer playing summer ball, we lived in Kansas City for a summer, went to Europe for 2 weeks on a Scandinavian cruise, I worked at a psychiatric youth treatment center, Kevin learned how to snowboard and we went often, both graduated from BYU's Marriott School of Management, moved to Fort Collins, bought a house, got pregnant, went on a babymoon in the Caribbean, and I am less than 2 weeks away from the due date of our little son!
Life has changed so much since we first got married and I am glad to have Kevin with me for the journey.
I love him so much and am so glad he decided to date me haha.
(Funny story there)
I can't wait for the next chapter in our lives and to see Kevin be a daddy.
He will be the best one.  I know it.
He is so great with kids and I'm excited to see him interact with our baby boy.

For our Anniversary day, we didn't plan much since we were planning on celebrating it on Saturday (not Wednesday evening after Kevin gets off work) but Kevin came home with flowers and angel-food cake, strawberries, and whipping cream to make home made cool whip.
He also got me a card because he knows I like to give him cards haha.
It was so cute.
When he proposed to me we had just eaten angel-food cake, strawberries, and cool whip (Kevin's home made kind) so it was cute he brought the same dessert.
We just whipped together a quick dinner (cheeseburgers with some sides) and rented a Redbox movie, Man on a Ledge. We just hung out, spent time together, and relaxed, and it was just perfect.
We didn't exchange gifts as our gift is our son...and goodness are the baby costs rising haha.
It is kind of insane and I haven't even had him yet...hello hospital bills.
Saturday (August 11, 2012) was our original official anniversary celebration day.
We both wanted to eat brunch at Snooze, an amazing breakfast place in downtown Fort Collins!
There was a 30 minute wait so we just hung out and apparently the lighting was bad here ha.
We finally got to eat our amazing breakfast.
Kevin got 2 half orders of 1. Fluffernutter Brioche (french toast) & 2. Caprese Benedict...
he was a happy man!
I got french toast with berries.
Simple and yummy.
Here is another shot of Kevin's meals.
Like that fluffernutter french toast is divine, guys.
Kevin is so funny and had me pose here...I look monstrously pregnant.
After we ate, we browsed Clothes Pony - an adorable baby/children's boutique that I am in love with.
Then we hit up the New West Fest.
The New West Fest is a festival in downtown Fort Collins with booths, lots of live music, performances, rides, and more.
Being practically 38 weeks pregnant I couldn't handle the heat that long haha.
We walked up and down many booths and got some free things (lots of dog food that will be Katinka's treats, candy, sunglasses, eye drops) and then headed back to our car.
Oh and this Plinko game, I definitely got a Milky Way which is my favorite candy bar...

I love my husband.
And that is all.

  1. I think we need to hear the funny story about how/why he decided to date you.
