Saved by the Radio

Let me just show you how cute little Miss Katinka is...
and how a radio is the best thing that has happened since sliced bread.
She loves soft blankets and sleeping on them.
She love(d) notice lovED...this soccer ball.
We got it for free somewhere and she was obsessed for days until she started chewing the foam apart.
It was definitely not a dog toy...and she probably is wondering where it is but I threw it away since it is not good for her to eat foam. Anyways, I need to get her a cheap squeaky ball sometime...
And here is a picture my bro Zach took of her.
I always say to her, "My what big eyes you have!!!"
And Kevin laughs...sometimes haha.
What is that childhood story with the big bad wolf? Lol.
And I was just chilling where I am now either relaxing watching a show or on the computer and she started barking and jumping at the wall. I was like "huh", looked, and noticed there was a HUGE spider on the wall just chilling there! I left it there and who knows where it went...
(Kevin wasn't home and that thing was BIG so I hope it went off and died somewhere and disintegrated and we vacuumed it up)
So why is 'Saved by the Radio' my blog title?
Well, for one, I am horribly bad at naming posts and two, it literally saved our life.
Remember when I blogged about Katinka barking FOR HOURS after we moved into our new house?
Well maybe you don't remember, but I do, and I'm pretty sure I blogged about it. I'm just too lazy to look around in the archives.
SO...she has never had a barking problem, ever.
Until...we bought a new house, moved in, and then hated her kennel (she used to love it), barked for an hour, fell asleep, woke up at 2 am and barked for 20 minutes, and then fell asleep...
So we were not happy.
Basically we tried many things:
(ideas from dog trainers and our own brains)

+ Shaking a can of rocks when she barked to startle her, then praise her when she was quiet so she would think being quiet is the cool thing to do
+ Kongs filled with apple sauce, peanut butter, baby food (chicken, etc.), dog food, dog treats...
+ Really yummy treats: for when we put her in there so she learns that her kennel is a happy place like it used to be
+ Pheromone collar that was supposed to make her sleepy and relaxed but in actuality it just stunk (well to me and maybe because I was newly prego)
+ Dog treats with pheromones and triptophan (basically it is like something in turkey. You know when you eat a ton of turkey on Thanksgiving and get all sleepy? Well it is because of triptophan!)
+ Thunder Shirt which is a super tight shirt that is supposed to calm dogs who have anxiety, afraid of fireworks, etc. because it squeezes them making them feel safe. Apparently they do these types of things for horses and other animals.
+ Bark Off: basically a thing you put in the room with her and when she barks it is supposed to emit a high pitched noise that is annoying so they stop...I think ours was broken or something because the light didn't come on when you turned it on...
+ Letting her sleep in our room in her kennel, didn't happen, she wouldn't stop barking and digging in her kennel...

after months, like 4-ish...
the vet recommended a radio or a fan for "white noise" and for her to think we are up and about and awake and she is not alone, also so she may not hear random noises from the house that may be spooking her, etc...

AND it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We play the radio every night for her (recently it's been country music) and she just goes in her area (we took her out of the kennel in a enclosed area) and falls asleep!!!!! Hallelujah!

I was getting worried since I didn't want to have TWO babies when I have my baby come August...and I would be really mad if she would just bark and keep up the baby...but she is a new dog!!!

PS. She is almost 3, will be 3 next Friday, April 6, and has NEVER had a problem until we moved into a new house. We've lived in many different apartments/houses since we got her and she never made a peep so yeah...the verdict is she got separation anxiety but honestly I have no clue.

PPS. I've been scared to write about this since I don't want to jinx her and have her start barking again HAHAHA.

18 Weeks

Hey hey heyyyy.
I'm almost 19 weeks, well on Monday, and when the weekend hits I like to round up.
Here is what I wore yesterday and little Tinks! Breakup further down...
But isn't Katinka hilarious? I don't even know if her eyes are open or closed but they look closed kind of lol.
This was what I wore to church last Sunday annnd to the church meeting where they told us our new ward boundaries. Kevin and I are in a new ward (Huntington Hills Ward) and are released from the junior nursery as of now.

Maternity Clothes: I finally got 3 t-shirts from Old Navy Maternity (3 for $10- the blue one I'm wearing above is one) and a dress for $29. I went a couple of days ago and the selection was definitely slim but everything I got was on sale so that is good. I'm finally buying stuff this week! Ordered 4 t-shirts from Shade online and some skinny jeans from Gap.com!
Stretch marks: Nope.
Weight gain/loss: 10-11 lbs.
Sleep: It is okay. Could be better.
Best Moment of the Week: Feeling weird things going on mah belly. Not sure if it is my baby or if I'm hungry or my food is digesting lol. Sometimes I bet it is the baby though!
Movement: See above.
-Pregnancy Congestion, Headaches
Weird Rash when I sometimes shower and sometimes after. I'm not sure if I'm taking too hot of showers but my stomach gets all splotchy like splotches of red. It is weird. I called my nurse and she said it is probably from the heat and hormones so I'm not too worried but obviously if it gets worse I'll call again.

Stupid things I have done: Honestly not like last week lol.

What are you all doing this weekend?
I'm watching General Conference and going to flea markets/thrift stores looking for chairs for our table!

One of our favorite breakfasts...

Say hello to one of Kevin's and my favorite breakfast foods!
(not sure if that is grammatically correct but whatevs)
We got an awesome waffle maker for our wedding - Waring Pro brand (pretty sure from Bed, Bath & Beyond) - and seriously it was one of the best presents we received.
It is one of those waffle makers that flips over and beeps when the waffle is done, you know, like the ones at the hotels (La Quinta has em).
Every time we make these waffles we put on fruit...usually bananas, strawberries, and blueberries and of course cool whip! Kevin sometimes make cool whip home made style...yum.
We have even had waffle parties before with friends. Good stuff.
We ate these glorious waffles on March 3rd
are planning on eating them this Saturday morning before General Conference!
Oh and right after this waffle meal we went on a walk at Cathy Fromme Prairie (walking/biking trails) with Katinka and it was sooooo windy...
The lovely spread thanks to Kevin.
Orange juice (with high pulp- just the way I like it), blueberries, apples, mandarin oranges, kiwi, bananas, strawberries, and the waffles!
I'm looking forward to Saturday morning!

PS. What have you put on a waffle before that you loved? Anything we should try?
And I am SO not one of those peanut butter smeared all over a waffle type of person...lol.
PPS. I ordered maternity skinny jeans from Gap.com and waiting for those babies, they better fit!!! So excited. Also going to order a few basic t-shirts from Shade Maternity...finally giving in and buying some stuff!

Monthly Denver Trip

Every month we take a trip to Denver to visit the Denver Temple.
It is actually located in Centennial which is about 1.5 hours away from Fort Collins.
The past few times we've gone to the temple I persuaded Kevin to take a few pictures with me.
Hopefully we can keep it up :)
Here we are when we visited in February.
February 28, 2012 to be exact.
I remembered because afterwards we ate at IHOP for IHOP's free pancake day!
Or I could have just looked at my planner.
We both got a free stack of pancakes and ordered an omelet to share!
Believe it or not, this IHOP was practically deserted. Okay not completely but I was shocked at how few people were eating there for free pancake day!
It was a lot of fun getting to visit Denver and have a dinner date with my husband.
I love him!
And I love him in church clothes :)

17 Weeks

17 weeks
Shirt: Gap
Skinny Jeans: Motherhood Maternity
Necklace: Target
Bracelet: Gift from dad when he visited Bangladesh

How Far Along: 17 weeks, 4 days. 2nd trimester!
Size of the Baby: Turnip, 5 inches, 5 oz. (now going off the Babycenter app)
Maternity Clothes: Still got the 2 belly bands (black & white), blue skinny jeans (pictured above), okayyy and I bought a new bra, and I'm thinking of getting a pair of denim skinny jeans...if I can find a cute pair around here! Or I could wait until we go to Denver...
Stretch marks: Nope.
Weight gain/loss: 10 lbs?
Sleep: Working on sleeping on my left side...blehhh.
Best Moment of the Week: Hearing the heartbeat at this weeks doctor appointment! It was 153 beats/minute! Sure going down in speed (that is totally normal).
Movement: If I did I didn't know it was Baby Sloan...hopefully SOON!!! Cannot wait.
-Pregnancy Congestion: Help!!! I cannot breathe out of my nose and it is so annoying! I try blowing my nose and it does nothing. Also getting nose bleeds often haha.
-Headaches: Off and on...right now kind of feeling like one may be coming on...Reeses Pieces should help right?
-Itchy Stomach: Still itchin! I put on the stretch-mark cream when I remember but I've read how that stuff is all genetics (my mom only got some with 1 child, my sis!) and the cream is a bunch of bologna so I'm not too worried about it. I really feel like maybe I'm starting to grow, as in mah belly. With the itchy belly and...
-Round Ligament Pain: My stomach was having weird pains and I asked my obgyn about it and she said it was probably round ligament pain but obviously to call in if it gets worse. Basically pain from your ligaments and stomach growing. I have it randomly and it is very annoying!
-Hunger: I'm all about the food man, food is goood.
Food Cravings: Gosh I don't know. I always think, what do I want right now? And a smoothie would be awesome. Some Cafe Mexicali. Some euros from Cafe Athens... breakfast foods...
Gender: April 12 baby is the big day! Less than 3 weeks now!
Belly Button in or out: In.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No...well Katinka kind of smells and I do need to give her a bath. I never once thought she smelled before I got pregnant; I actually always thought she smelled great lol. Intense nose powers I tell ya!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Wedding ring on or off: On.
What I miss: More clothing options. I basically will need to go shopping sometime soon...it is getting hot and guys today it is in the 70s!!! I have always had more winter than summer clothes and most of my summer clothes are more fitted so I will need to get some shorts and capris and some big tops!
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender!
Nursery: I'm just now starting to think about it, there are so many good looking nurseries out there on Pinterest! What style? I have no clue!!!
Emotions: I have gotten annoyed easily this week I think...don't mess with me haha!
Stupid things I have done: SO...if you like pee, read on. If not, then skip this and have a good weekend! :)

So, whenever I go to the obgyn they have you pee in a cup and then they stick some stick in it and test for something, I don't even know what. Well they tell me pee in a cup and bring it to room 2, and I go pee then realize I'm not peeing in a cup! Good thing I stopped mid-way and had a little for the doctor...that could have been bad! I would have had to been gulping water for awhile! So dumb moment for ya.

Also, in the same bathroom time at the doctor my jeggings zipper got stuck. Like stuck down. I tried to zip it up for a few minutes than was like "Eh, whatever, I'll figure it out later." Now let me tell you. These jeggings are way more comfortable than any jeans/pants I have and are super stretchy so they are not too small at all. They are low rise and perfect for being prego so far minus the fact they are a tad short, but can't win em all when you got long legs! So the girl was checking for the baby's heartbeat (your shirt is lifted up obviously) and when she was done she was like "Um your pants are unzipped by the way. Might be time to get some bigger ones" and I was like "I know! It won't go up! I tried for a few minutes in the bathroom! And these are so stretchy, not too small!" And I showed her how much they stretched lol. So that was funny...but I'm surprised she said something kind of (not offended at all) just because like no one who is pregnant zips their pants up until they get maternity jeans (at least that is my guess).

OH yes, and I wore my Downeast Basics black t-shirt on backwards yesterday to Physical Therapy. I was doing some exercises on an exercise ball and then realized my shirt seemed to go higher in the front than normal. I glanced and saw the tag printed on it haha. I doubt my physical therapist noticed but that was dumb.

Here is my leg shot (amazing I know) when I was waiting at the doctor and the beloved jeggings. Thank you Nordstrom.

What you doing this weekend?
Two words:
Okay that was three.
But we are excited and by the way Kevin read the book!!! So that will make it way more awesome.

The Big 24!

I turned 24 years old on February 19, 2012.
I kind of wished I was turning 23 again! 24 is so close to 25 and I feel like that is old!
Anyways, the picture above is practically what I looked like on my birthday...but way worse. So imagine that, or not haha.
I got a horrible cold a couple of days before my birthday and let me tell you it was miserable.
Miserable since you can't load up on meds like you usually do if you are not pregnant. I took 1 dosage of Wahl-dryl...basically I went to Walgreens and had to call a different Walgreens since the pharamacist had already left. That is the only thing I could take really. This was Saturday night.
My birthday was on a Sunday and luckily I was able to skip church.
Well, Kevin went to church and was hoping to find someone to cover nursery for me.
Usually a few parents stay (since their child is getting used to nursery and cries when they leave, etc...) so it would have been fine but Kevin kind of got stranded but luckily it worked out!
I was so sick and I really just slept like the whole day and ate a few meals made by my loving husband!
I love strawberries and cinnamon rolls so he woke me up and I had this for breakfast! :D
Then I went back to sleep while he went to church.
After church he made me this for lunch. YES I love breakfast foods!!!
And I always put eggs on toast...da best!
Then for dinner we went to my parents house...
Oh and here is a picture of me when I was a little one!
My dad posted it on my Facebook wall on my birthday for some reason lol.
Maybe our kiddo will look like me? Or me here?
How old do you think I am? 1-3?
For dinner, Kevin made one of his authentic Italian dinners!
Baked pasta, tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and olive oil/balsamic vinegar, corn, bread, proscuitto wrapped bread sticks (griseini? sp?)...don't worry I didn't have the proscuitto! And...there may have been more.
For dessert my dad made me German Chocolate Cake, my fav!
And he was hilarious and decorated it...
if you can't read it it says
"Ashley is 24! Visit Sloanbook.com"
My brothers Patrick and Hunter got me a gift card to Motherhood Maternity which I already spent! What Hunter really wanted to get me was "Cho's wand" aka Cho Chang from Harry Potter. He is obsessed with Harry Potter and was upset he went in on the gift card with Patrick. He even printed a sign that said, "Cho's wand coming soon!!! :)" It was HILARIOUS. Zach got me a cord that lets me see the pictures from my Canon on my computer which I really needed. Kelsi (my sister missionary in Sao Paulo, Brazil) sent me some dog stationary, a DVD of some pop Brazilian singer chick, and a Baseball bat pen. Omi & Opi took me to see Cirque de Soleil's Dralion at the Budweiser Events Center the week prior. The in-laws got me some money that we put towards the babymoon. My parents got me a Theit camera bag OR a diaper bag...so I am actually debating which to get! I am looking at the Petunia Pickles diaper bags...oh and Kevin and my babymoon was my birthday/Valentine's Day present and my present to him for a few things as well haha. Overall my day was GREAT other than the fact I was a zombie with a cold hehe.

PS. If you haven't signed up to receive promotional emails from Noodles you probably should since they give you a free bowl of noodles for your birthday!
Yep, I got Pesto Cavatappi for lunch for free!!! Awesome.

16 Weeks

So lets pretend it is last week and there, I am 16 weeks.
Why am I late?
Well we were on a cruise (babymoon) in the Caribbean last week...so we didn't get on the internet once!
Don't worry I'll blog about the cruise eventually lol.
However, the picture above I am
15 weeks, 4 days
...but it didn't make it on my last post.
Shirt: Gap
Undershirt: Downeast Outfitters
Skinny Jeans: Motherhood Maternity
Necklace: Target
Feather Earrings: Charming Charlie
Ring: Some shop in St. Petersburg, Russia while we were on a cruise there.
16 weeks, 6 days
Shirt: Downeast Outfitters
Belt: American Eagle
Maxi Skirt: Zara
Earrings/Bracelet: Charming Charlie

How Far Along: 16 weeks. 2nd trimester!
Size of the Baby: Avocado, 4.5 inches, 3.5 oz. (now going off the Babycenter app)
Maternity Clothes: Just got a black and white belly band and my bright blue skinny maternity jeans!
Stretch marks: Nope.
Weight gain/loss: Gaining...not sure. 8-10 lbs up from pre-pregnancy weight?
Sleep: Back is still bothersome and I am now attempting to transition to sleeping on my left side! No fun.
Best Moment of the Week: Um the whole cruise - our baby moon! I was on the cruise practically all of 16 weeks!
Movement: Not yet! Wishing it will happen soon!
-Headaches: I try so hard not to take medicine while pregnant. I think within 4 months I've taken medicine for a cold once (until the cold left it was miserable!) and Tylenol for headaches maybe 3 times...I tried to eat and sleep one off on the cruise but it didn't work so I gave in and it was so worth it! I got another as well. Seems to be coming here and there so I try to get some fresh air or eat/drink.
-Itchy Stomach: Just started this week! Guess it means my stomach is growing?
-Hunger: I'm usually always hungry...I'm trying to find a balance of eating a big enough meal to not feel hungry in an hour but not gorge myself completely...it is hard to guesstimate!
Food Cravings: Not really sure but right now a smoothie sounds great...or an Orange Julius!
Gender: Countdown to April 12!!! The baby better show us the goods!
Belly Button in or out: In.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! Like really not at all.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Wedding ring on or off: On.
What I miss: Feeling normal and being able to get a lot of stuff done (and not tire so easily) and not having to think as much about outfits like "Is this shirt long enough to cover the fact that I'm wearing my pants unbuttoned?" Haha.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender!!!
Nursery: I'm going to be checking out my 'Sleepy Babes' board on Pinterest soon...got to get looking into that good stuff :)
Emotions: Good but funny story, I definitely had a dream where I stabbed some bad man like 5 times in the chest after trying to shoot him with a gun w/no bullets...the dream was while I was on the cruise. Don't worry I don't have anger problems/issues. Lol. When I told Kevin he laughed so hard because in my dream I asked the dude who gave me the gun, "How many bullets are in this?" and Kevin laughed because if I knew anything about guns I could just check...he's into guns so I guess it was funny for him.
Stupid things I have done: OHHH I have one for Week 17!!!

How Far Along: 15 weeks, 4 days. 2nd trimester!
Size of the Baby: Avocado, 4-5 inches, 3-5 oz.
Maternity Clothes: I bought my first pair of bright blue maternity skinny jeans! I'm wearing them right now! Basically I saw them in Motherhood Maternity a week or so ago when I was using my gift card my brother's got me for my birthday. I chose to get long tank tops and a belly band instead of fun things like bright blue skinny jeans and a chevron print tankini...well, I'd been thinking about the blue skinny jeans and then I dreamed about them so I told Kevin and said it must mean I really need to get them. They were on sale for $29.99 and also had them in red, wish they'd give me a 2 for 1 deal hehe (considering the ladies who worked there said they've never seen anyone try them on).
Stretch marks: Nope.
Weight gain/loss: Honestly not sure but I would say 6-7? Maybe more?  I'm supposed to gain a pound a week or gain around 12 total during the 2nd trimester.
Sleep: Still sleeping on my back, when is it too bad to sleep on your back? I hate sleeping on my side!
Best Moment of the Week: Last night we went to The Taj Mahal, an Indian restaurant in Fort Collins for my birthday and that was fun! I got Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan. Also, I got my hair colored darker and love it! No more ombre. I was getting tired of that.
Movement: Nope...BUT next week they say is when some people feel their baby move!!! Hope we feel our baby move soon! I guess between then and around 20 weeks or so is normal...but I want next week :)
Symptoms: Honestly I've been feeling pretty good. I am able to be super busy during the day getting stuff done and running errands. However, I do still get super tired early and go to bed around 9-10pm. But I think I have more energy overall! I kind of feel like my stomach is starting to itch? Maybe I will use the stretch mark cream stuff...
Food Cravings: Recently I've been having LOTS of fruit! I love that and smoothies! I am always down for Mexican food though!
Gender: April 12, 2012 is the big day we find out! Come sooon!!!
Belly Button in or out: In.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really, just need to eat a lot haha.

What I am looking forward to: Babymoon!
Nursery: We'll figure it out after we find out the sex.
Emotions: GOOD!
Stupid things I have done: Ummm nothing? HA.

My awesome first pair of maternity skinny jeans. Wearing them now!
{Picture taken while Kevin, Katinka, and I were sitting on our stoop drinking smoothies while it got into the 60's in CO...next day it snowed. Welcome to CO}

Where do you get your maternity clothes?

Some people are telling me that they just wear their normal clothes and stretch them out...but I'm wondering doesn't that ruin them? I mean how can it not? Really though? So, I'm thinking it is smarter to buy cute maternity clothes and save your normal clothes for later? Why stretch them out? I don't know...I just have a lot of clothes that I would NOT like to ruin by stretching out. I care a lot about my clothes. Maybe some of the reasons that people stretch them out are because they can't afford maternity clothes...well, once you stretch out your normal clothes turning them into maternity clothes, and after the baby comes and all, are you going to buy all new normal clothes? I'm trying to figure it out.

Las Vegas MAGIC Tradeshow

So I'm definitely late in posting this but better late than never!
I attended the Las Vegas MAGIC Trade show, February 12-14, 2012.
MAGIC is a trade show for fashion brands and designers. They share their next season's product lines, hope to fill orders, network, etc. Let me tell you, fashion lovers, it is like heaven except for you cannot purchase anything haha, unless of course you are a retailer.
I went to help out my dad's company, Zephyr.
My dad, me, and Patrick (bro) came to help out.
Kevin and Inger (co-worker) came February 11 to set up.
Kevin was there since he works lots of high school shows, trade shows, etc.

Sunday - February 12, 2012

We scored emergency exit aisle seats, boo-yah for extra leg room!
Oh yes, I was 12 weeks prego here.
MAGIC was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
As soon as we got in, we went to the convention center to check out and finalize the booth and check in.
Then we hit up a buffet in the Mandalay Bay!
Kevin and his carrot cake and soft serve ice cream cone. Pretty sure I had 2 pieces of German Chocolate cake. Love that stuff!
Monday - February 13, 2012

The Zephyr booth was at Slate/Street Menswear.
Here are a few photos before the show got going.
Our booth was across from Tap Out. So funny. I am so not a Tap Out kind of girl lol.
I'm just sitting here taking a break. I don't know what kind of shoes you need to wear standing all day but these Nordstrom boots did not cut it!
The Zephyr booth.
Giveaway Zephyr branded Snapbacks.
In Project (area of the show), there was a Lacoste booth. You had to have an appointment to get in. There were models hired to just hang out inside the booth wearing all Lacoste. Love Lacoste.
Since I know a lot of people are Pan Am fans I took this picture of the Pan Am booth!
If you own a store you can carry Pan Am goods!
Project was crazy! They had booths with free hair cuts, free manicures, and free make overs. They had photo-shoots with models posing with big crowds watching. They had little blogging stations haha! It was just cool to see lots of crazy fashion. Almost everyone was super stylish. There were tons and tons of designers - high end and new ones - with awesome stuff.
The night before we decided to see if we could see a Vegas show. All the Cirque de Soleil shows were sold out and same with the magician ones. We decided to see the Blue Man Group at The Mirage!
Let me tell you it was...freaking weird.
I thought there would be lots more drumming than there was. I felt like overall it was supposed to be funny. The Blue Man guys kept doing really dumb things and people were laughing but really, a lot of it wasn't that funny. The drumming stuff was cool though and it was funny when people came up on stage from the audience. And at the end they had rolls and rolls of toilet paper that got rolled down over the back of the audience, then the whole audience pulled the rolls up and eventually it ended up on stage. It was weird and I bet if you were claustrophobic you would have freaked. Lol. Overall, I just really don't know how to explain it but I thought it was SO WEIRD!

See the people behind Kevin and I?
Well guess what? They were the MOST ANNOYING PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!
Don't think I am mean because I'm really not but let me tell you, every-freaking-thing...
EVERYTHING they would laugh at!
Even things so small.
Like no one else laughed at, they did.
Just little chuckles then LOUD shrieking ones.
Wow, how do you laugh that much?
I seriously was going crazy and Kevin was too.
I so badly wanted to tell them to Shut Up.
I tried to convince Kevin to tell them but he wouldn't. GOSH if they weren't there the show would have been better. I tried so hard to ignore them but they were SO loud and about to break my ear drums.
Then we were starving since we ran from the trade show to The Mirage so we drove and drove on this one road in Vegas until we found a normal restaurant haha. Let me explain: We drove on this road and I swear miles and miles of China town restaurants in their characters...then came Korean town! Where the heck were we? Everything was in kanji!
Then finally we saw an Applebee's and gave in lol. I had lime something chicken and rice. It was good.
And the couple next to us dined and ditched. Didn't pay up. So lame. We felt so bad for the waiter. So my bro Patrick was so nice and left some money on the table for the waiter.
Tuesday - February 14, 2012

Valentines Day! We only stayed for half this day as we had to catch our plane ride home but Kevin and I did have a chance to grab some quick trade show food for a Valentine's Day lunch date. We didn't do anything for each other for Valentine's Day because what we did is...going on a cruise this weekend!!!
And behold, Vegas from the sky...
So long Vegas! Until next time!

14 Weeks

So I kind of started taking pictures more often.
Basically only when I get ready...which isn't every day haha.
And as you can see my hair is done easy ways, like I can't remember the last time I've blow dried my hair and straightened it...sad!

Now for the weekly update!

How Far Along: 14 weeks 5 days. 2nd trimester.
Size of the Baby: Navel Orange, 4.5 inches, 2-3 oz. or a Lemon I guess (see pic above).
Maternity Clothes:
I'm now wearing the belly band just because it is more comfortable. It is just annoying to wear an extra layer...hmmm not sure how nice that will be on our cruise in the Caribbean haha. I bought 2 super long tank tops this week from Motherhood Maternity because my brothers gave me a gift card their for my birthday. I got a white and black one! They are super stretchy and I'm sure I'll wear them regardless if I'm pregnant or not.
Stretch marks: Nope.
Weight gain/loss: I think around 5 lbs.
Sleep: My back started hurting again this week so it hasn't been as comfortable. Dang back. I hate it.
Best Moment of the Week: Just that we are going on a cruise next weekend and I am excited but not ready haha. I need to try on some of my clothes today and see what all I can work with.
Movement: Nope, well yes, but not that I feel/notice.
Symptoms: Just being tired but I may have a little more energy? I can't tell yet. If I do, it isn't super noticeable. I hope I get an insane boost of energy when I get on my cruise ha! I just have to eat a lot and often. I sometimes wonder if I'm eating too much. But then I get hungry and I have to eat haha.

Food Cravings: Breakfast food! I love scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, love it all!!! We ate at IHOP twice this week because we had 2 coupons (my birthday & our anniversary of receiving their promotional emails) AND for free pancake day! We also just had waffles with fruit and cool whip this morning...heavenly! We ate at Cafe Mexicali and I LOVE their sweet pork burritos! I want some more :) Also ate a lot of strawberries, bananas, kiwis, and oranges this week!
Gender: April 12, 2012 is the big day!
Belly Button in or out: In.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really, just got to get food in my belly ASAP in the morn!
Labor Signs: Nope.
Wedding ring on or off: On.
What I miss: Energy and strength. I feel lazy and weak and tired haha.
What I am looking forward to: OUR CRUISE THIS WEEKEND!!! OMG.
Nursery: Not yet.
Emotions: Idk...
Stupid things I have done: I don't know?

Time to figure out my outfits for the cruise! :)
